Your guess at the lender's standard variable rate (SVR) or the rate of your next deal. No one knows it today, so try a higher one too.
Council tax, leasehold charges and insurance
£
The yearly bill from the local council, set by the home's valuation band; ask the seller or check the council's website. In Northern Ireland, enter the domestic rates bill.
£
Most flats are leasehold: you hold a long lease and the freeholder keeps the building. This is your share of its running costs. A freehold house usually has none, so leave it at 0.
£
Set in the lease of a leasehold home and paid to the freeholder. Most new long leases granted from 30 June 2022 have none.
£
The premium from your quote. For a flat it is usually part of the service charge; then leave it at 0.
Prepayment
£

No default: the charge is in your mortgage offer, often a share of what you repay early during the deal. Extra payments within the year's overpayment allowance cost nothing; then enter 0.Last verified: Oct 8, 2026

Note

Every figure on this page is an estimate based on the values you entered and on defaults from UK law, the selected nation's rules and common market practice, each as of the date shown next to it. It is not financial, legal or tax advice. The real amounts are in your solicitor's or conveyancer's completion statement, the tax return they file and your lender's mortgage offer; check them before exchange of contracts. This page does not store what you enter; it stays in the page address only.

Monthly rate is the annual rate divided by 12; amounts are rounded to the penny. The purchase tax (SDLT, LBTT or LTT) is worked out slice by slice on the price and rounded down to the whole pound. Land registration fees are fixed amounts by price band.
